My connection was very homely and he was one of my inspirations. I met many times in #Kolkata, and I used to visit him personally at his home all the time. I was friends with his whole family. We would have great discussions on creativity in Indian Music and Film, he was like a Grandpa and I learned a lot from him.
He helped #ShyamBenegal #GirishKarnad #ManiRatnam #MaheshBhatt many more used to work and disciples of him.
Mirnal Sen's wife #ShobhaSen was a theatre actress who also acted in my film #Arohan so did #Ompuri his second Film that he acted in.
Arohan the first Hindi Film I worked on as a Film Designer. Shyam Benegal was the Director of Arohan, this film received a First #Nationalaward in 1981 ! Mrinal Sen was the advisor for this movie.
I composed the music for Arohan (film) but under the suggestion of my mother I gave my fathers name for the music for this film. My Mom would do anything for my Dad and she would often guilt me into sacrificing my career for my Dad. By mistake HMV actually gave my Dads name by accident and when I went to correct it, my mom said No leave it.
I was the one who won the top award for music in this film. My Dad and Mom only sang in this film and I had to teach my Dad how to sing in Hindi. All Music was composed, arranged by Babu Kishan aka Krishnendu Das at the time. Shyam Benegal knew who composed the music and thus I was received the award for top music in India. My name is still in the Arohan movie title as Krishnendu Das...More to come.

I was one the #Pioneer to bring first compact #VideoCamera to Calcutta and was the Indian Videographer for India Television and Calcutta and side by side I did Marriage Videography.
I had just started videography of almost everything and then ended up as #MarriageVideographer .
